How to order Once you have decided on the furniture piece and art work, contact me via email @ [email protected]
Please make sure your mailing address is up to date on Paypal. This is the address I will use to calculate shipping, and send your order to. Orders are first come, first serve, and must be paid for in advance. Shipping is charge after your furniture order is completed. It is up to you to verify it is the same address used when you paid your original invoice.
We do have the option of a layaway for larger orders over $200. Layaway must be paid for in full with in 4 weeks of order date.
We do have a minimum order of $30 for treats and toys, and $50 for furniture.
Please be patient when ordering furniture with art work. Expect a minimum of 8 weeks for your furniture order to be completed. Sometimes we may get it out sooner, but with a family, and a full time caregiver to a family member with special needs, I need a balance with out feeling rushed. Art is very time consuming.
We do not have premade pieces in stock, all orders are custom to your theme. We can not guarantee a finish date, as each order is unique, and we have obligations outside of furniture making. The wait is worth it though, we assure you!
Furniture with no art takes around 3 weeks, unless you are ordering only shelves, then a 10 to 14 day return. Allow an extra week or two for large orders.
TOYS (7 to 10 days for regular toy orders, longer for orders over $200)
During peak holiday season, times can vary slightly, so please be patient. Sometimes we can shave off a few weeks, but considering this is a hobby, and I have a full time job, and other interests, as well as art being very time consuming, I can not make any promises on the turn around rate. Christmas time is also our busiest time of year, as I work alone, and also make toys and furniture for Chinchillas.
We are now using UPS for most of our larger packages, as we have found it is more economical. We sometimes use USPS on furniture orders, whichever is cheaper, unless you prefer faster shipping. Toy orders are generally sent USPS Priority or USPS Ground Advantage.
Priority rate covers up to $50. If you would like additional insurance let me know when you place your order. All packages are shipped Priority, our boxes or flat rate U.S.P.S. boxes, within the U.S. We do ship International but once it leaves the U.S. it can not be traced or tracked by U.S.P.S. policy. We will not be responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen packages. If you need to process an insurance claim/lost or damaged package claim (which must be made within 24 hours of receiving your package via U.S.P.S. https://www.usps.com/help/claims.htm
We never offer anything we would not feel comfortable using around our own animals. We use food grade coloring for our chinchilla furniture. Sometimes for detail work, we may use a very small amount of children's soy and or/water based paint that is water base non-toxic, non-acidic, non-caustic by manufactures listings and is CERTIFIED NON TOXIC by the Art & Creative Materials Institute, Inc., is an association that certifies children's art materials .I use this entirely for our hamster, and guinea pig furniture for many years now. We have done a lot of research. I personally feel it is safer than the paint on our cages, as it's certified for children, and is lead free.
My store is recommended by ethical breeders, who care a great deal about the health of their chinchillas. If you prefer only food coloring, let us know. You may not get as vivid as detailing, but we are happy to accommodate your wishes. I can even offer art with pyrography (wood burning) no color.
Wood Furniture is made with Kiln dried Pine, and non toxic glue. No hardware is used in our Chinchilla furniture, except for hanger bolts, which are a necessity for weight bearing pieces, like shelves, and on the back of furniture, where your chin can not reach. Screws for our Guinea pig Hay Tunnels, as they are not as heavy as chewers. We have been making furniture for over 15 years for our own use, and 10 plus years for customers with no issues. Unlike some stores, we do not use scare tactics to sell our products.
Please Note: Although the products are created with your pets health and safety first, you are the responsible party when it comes to your pet. Twilight Chinchillas can not be responsible or held liable once you receive your product. We always recommend supervision with any and all toys, play sets etc, which is part of being a responsible pet owner.
